Mrs. Grace W. Mayle Newman, 72, formerly of Rosemont, died Friday (October 1,
1971) at 12 p.m. at the Spencer State Hospital. She was born in Taylor County on
Feb. 5, 1899, a daughter of the late Morgan and Sophronia Mayle Mayle.

She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Alston Gordon Newman of Philo, Ohio; and son,
Meredith Newman of Morgantown; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Eunice) Dalton of
Morgantown; six brothers, Forrest C. Mayle of Canton, Ohio, Harold B. Mayle of
Webster, Holly Mayle of Dalton, Georgia, Harley Brooks Mayle of Detroit, Mich.,
Frederick C. Mayle of Miami, Fla., and Victor H. Mayle of Detroit, Mich.; two
sisters, Mrs. Ethel Komindo of Webster and Mrs. Mazella Mayle of Simpson; seven
grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Two children, Robert and Juaneta, two brothers, Jonathan and Wilmer, and a
sister, Ruby, preceded her in death.

Friends will be received the the Bartlett Funeral Home in Grafton. Services will
be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the West Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church with the
Rev. Murray Mailey and Rev. Winfield Mayle officiating. Burial will be in the
Welch Cemetery. The body will be at the church for viewing from Monday at noon
until the time of services.
