She had been ill for the past year and seroiusly ill for a week. Mrs. Knotts was born at Halleck Dec. 2, 1905, a daughter of the late Isaac and Altha Boyce Stevens. She was a member of the Sunnyside Mission Church in Morgantown and was also associated with the Gospel Missionary group. She was a lifelong resident of Taylor County. Surviving is her husband Forrest Knotts; three sons, Richard Steven of Route 3, Grafton, Capt. Joseph B. Knotts with the Marines in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Airman 2-C Garry R. with the Air Force in Altus, Okla., three brothers, Allen of Cleveland, Ohio, Thomas and Pascal, both of Route 3, Grafton; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Balser of Route 5, Grafton, Mrs. Verna Brown of Morgantown, Mrs. Mae Reed of Grafton, Mrs. Beulah Jones of Charleston, and Mrs. Hazel Trickett of Route 1, Independence, and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the Bartlett Funeral Home in Grafton after 7 p.m. this evening. Other arrangements are incomplete.
