I Thomas Supple Sr. of Putnam County Virginia being of sound and disposing mind, of body do make this to be my last will and testament, as follows: (that is to say) I desire that my body be buried a the direction of my executor herinafter mentioned, so that my soul may return to God who gave it: 1st I direct that all my just debts be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as may convent. 2cd I give and bequeath unto my dear wife Margarut in testimony of my sincere regare of affection for her all my real & personal estate, or what may be remaining after my just debts are paid, for her own absolute use & benefit, during her natural life. 3rd I give to my son Robert Supple who now lives (I think) in Augusta County VA. one dollar. 4th I desire that all my personal estate be sold after the death of my wife at such credit as my executor hereinafter named may think best, & the proceeds therof, be equally divided between by two sons Thomas and Marks. 5th I give to my son John one dollar. 6th I give to my son Markes the tract of land on which I live, I also disire that he (Marks) nor any of the rest of my children who may get in the possesion of said land, shall not gamble it off in any way whatever. 7th I desire that my two sons Thomas and Marks shall keep me decently clothed, and supply me with all necessary provisions while I am sick, and attend personally to me when necessary. Lastly I do hereby nominate & appoint my friend John Dudding executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others, or former wills & testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my had and affixed my seal this 2nd day of July A.D. one thousand eight hundred & fifty. Thos. Supple (SEAL). At a Court held for the County of Putnam in the month of August 1850: A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Supples, was produced in Court by John Dudding the executor therein named, and proved by the oaths of John Nalle & Wm. H. Huton subscribing witnesses, whereupon the said writing is ordered to be recorded as the true last will and testament of Thomas Supple Decd. Test: H.H. Forbs, Clerk.
