The Dominion News, Morgantown WV, May 21, 1958
Mrs. Hattie Mae Travis, 61, of 11 Ohio Ave., Westover, died Monday (May 19,
1958) at Vincent Pallotti Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born Feb. 23, 1897, in Fairmont, the daughter of the late John S. and
Betty Chapman. She was a member of the auxiliaries of the local Moose Lodge and
the Order of Eagles.

Her husband, Robert A. Travis, survives as do her son, Edward A. Travis,
stationed with the Air Force at Kessler Field, Miss., and a daughter, Mrs.
Florence Christian of Miami, Fla.

Mrs. Travis is also survived by three brothers, Frank Chapman of Morgantown,
Homer Chapman of Fairmont and Lawrence Chapman of Mt. Clements, Mich.; six
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
