TIPPNER Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday for Benny B. Tipper, 55, of Farming, who was killed Tuesday (November 16, 1971) in an accident while working on recovery operations at the Farmington No. 9 mine. Services will be at the Lazear and Kent Funeral Home in Farmington, with the Rev. John J. Mobley officiating. Burial will follow in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Farmington. Friends may call until service time, but there will be a closed casket and no viewing. Mr. Tippner had been employed as a miner since 1945, and was a member of UMW Local 4042. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Ansel Tippner, two brothers, Frank Tippner of Marion, Ind, and Albert Tippner of Flint, Mich, and three sisters, Mrs. Edgar Ashcraft, Mrs. Rex Statler and Mrs. Joe Sikan, all of Cleveland, Ohio.
