The Dominion News, Morgantown WV, January 10, 1958
F. E. Shuman, 88, of Basnettville died yesterday (Jan. 9, 1958). Born Sept. 7,
1869, he was the son of Riley and Minerva Arnett Shuman. He had been a resident
of that community for the past 65 years. 

A farmer, he belonged to the St. John's Methodist Church at Basnettville. 

His wife, Nora Bell Haught Shuman, preceded him in death in 1946. 

Surviving are three sons, Ernest of Fairview, Gay of Clarksburg and Willis of
Charles Town; three daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Swiger, Mrs. Nerva Keefover and Mrs.
Terry Conoway, all of Fairview; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
