The Dominion News, Morgantown WV, January 14, 1958
Robert Chesney Morris, 52, prominent Fairmont lawyer, died Saturday (Jan. 11,
1958) at 11:15 p.m. in the Fairmont General Hospital, where he had been a
patient for several weeks. Leukemia was given as the cause of death.

Born Oct. 1, 1905 in Fairmont, he was the son of Tusca and Harriet Chesney Morris.

He received his A. B. and law degrees from the University in 1932, having done
previous under-graduate work at Dartmouth. He was a member of the board of
directors of the West Virginia Law Review and was elected to the honorary Order
of the Coif.

Survivors include his parents, his widow, Frances Wilson Morris; a son, Robert
C. Morris Jr., of Fairmont; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Smith of Studio City,
Calif, and five grandchildren.
