Obituary for MARY R. MARTIN

Mary R. Martin, 43, of Rt. 7, Tyrone Road, died Saturday (October 23, 1971), at
West Virginia University Hospital.

She was born Sept. 7, 1928 in Marion County, the daughter of the late Leslie
Garner and Gladys Glover Garner Mike of Mannington.

She was presently serving as a Cub Scout den mother and was very active in other
parts of the Boy Scout program. She attended the Easton-Avery Church.

She is survived by her husband, John E.; her mother, step-father Carl Mike of
Mannington; two sons, Sgt. John R. of Minot, N.D., and Jeffery, at home; one
daughter, Mrs. Danny (Melinda) Sa---s-, Westover, and stepdaughter, Mrs. Earl
(Mary Jo) Miller of Warren, Mich., two brothers, Dwight Garner of Fairmont, Gale
Garner of Pontiac, Mich., and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Fletcher of Pensacola, Fla.

Friends may call at the Hastings Funeral Home Tuesday until 11 a.m. the time of
services at the funeral home. The Rev. Paul M. Johnson will officiate. Burial
will follow in the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
