Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack. He was 50 years old. Kesling received his degree from WVU in 1942 and shortly afterward joined the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. here. He was assistant personnel director for the firm. He went to WVU from Shinnston, where he starred in high school athletics. Kesling played a forward position for the Mountaineers and was particularly instrumental in their stunning upset of Long Island U. in the first round of the 1942 NIT. Survivors include his wife, a son in Allentown, Pa., and a daughter in New Orleans. Funeral arrangements were incomplete Wednesday night.
