Dr. Claude L. Holland, 79, of Fairmont, died Wednesday (Jan. 29, 1958) at 11:05
p.m. in his home following an illness of more than a year.

Born near Uffington on Jan. 18, 1879, he was the son of the late Charles H. and
Susan Louisa Price Holland.

A practicing physician in Fairmont for the 57 years, he had attended the
University and received his MD from the Maryland Medical College in Baltimore.
He specialized in the treatment of children's diseases.

His wife, Elsie Amos Holland, preceded him in death, as did a son, Dr. Eugene
Amos Holland.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Edith Stubbs of Charleston; a brother,
Dr. Charles A. Holland of Morgantown; two sisters Mrs. Rose Boyers of Morgantown
and Mrs. Ruby Weimer of Grand Rapids, Mich., and three grandchildren.
