Williams, in this city Saturday evening at eight o'clock of heart failure. The deceased was seventy-seven years of age, having been born in England, March 30, 1816, and though she had been unwell for sometime, her death came unexpectedly. She was an old resident of this county as she and her husband came here in 1852 and settled at Omro, where they lived until Mr. Challoner's death. For the last three years, however, Mrs. Challoner had made her home in this city. Mrs. Challoner leaves three children, Frank and John Challoner and Mrs. J.E. Williams, all of this city. The other immediate relatives are her brothers, John Elliot, Josiah Elliot of Omro, Charles Elliot of Cincinnati and William Elliot of Rhinelander, and a sister, Mrs. J. S. Reed of this city. Her maiden name was Mary Elliot. The life of Mrs. Challoner was one of loving, self-sacrificing devotion to her husband and children, and in the death of their mother her children suffer a loss that will be felt while life lasts.
