ELROY/KENDALL, Wis. - Freda G. McCracken, 88, of Elroy and formerly of Kendall 
died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Elroy. She was 
born Oct. 20, 1913, to Jasper and Susie (Greenfield) Parrish in Vernon County. 
She was united in marriage to Robert McCracken Sr. on May 16, 1929. They farmed 
in Vernon County near Ontario until 1937, when they moved to the Kendall area. 
They farmed for several years and were blessed with eleven children. As Freda's 
children grew older she worked at Badger Ordinance and Ray-O-Vac. She was a 
member of the Evangelical Free Church in Kendall. Freda was known by friends as 
a wonderful and loving person. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was 
a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by nine children, Robert (Dorothy) of Portage, Wis., Beverly 
Warsaw of Kendall, Donald of Ennis, Mont., Larry (Eva) of Poynette, Wis., Jerry 
(Donna) of La Crosse, Charles (Gail) of Elroy, Joseph (Jeanie) of Kendall, 
Shirley (Earl) Daniels of Wilton, Wis., Daniel (Julie) of Elroy; 32 
grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and thirty great-great-grandchildren; a 
sister-in-law, Rose Parrish; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 16, 1983; her parents; two 
sons, Lyle and Harold; two grandsons, a granddaughter, eight brothers and three 
sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, 11 a.m. from Evangelical 
Free Church at Kendall. Pastor Robert P. Waschek will officiate. Burial will be 
in Billings Creek Cemetery, in the town of Forest, Vernon County, Wis.
