She will be buried in the Cooksville cemtery. May 3, 1923, Evansville Review, p. 7, col. 2, Evansville, Wisconsin Mrs. Dorothy Hansen died at her home, one mile southwest of Cooksville, May 2nd, at the age of 79 years, 4 mo., and 9 days, after a lingering illness. She was born in Denmark, Dec. 23, 1843, and was married to Nanie Prunk in Denmark and to this union three sons were born. After his death she came to America with her three sons in 1877 and later she was united in marriage to Nels Hansen, who died in Feb. 1881, and to this union one son was born. She leaves to mourn her loss, three sons, Peter Prunk of Napierville, Ill., and Fritz Prunk of Oregon, Wis., and Nels L. Hansen of Cooksville, Wis., and four grandchildren and one brother, A. L. Nielsen, Minden, Nebr. One son, Carl Prunk preceded her in death 18 years ago, and one grandson, Carl L. Prunk, who died five years ago. Mrs. Hanson [sic] had lived at Cooksville on the old homestead 45 years. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Norwegian Luthern church. Rev. Hegge officiating.
