Clipping from Stevens Point Daily Journal October 12, 1878 Submitted by Rick Campen Death of an Aged Lady Mrs. Amilison Redfield, relic of Asahel Redfield, died at the house of one of her sons and Waupaca, last Saturday. Mrs. Redfield was born in Bainbridge, Chenango County, New York, February 7th, 1797 and consequently at the time of her death was aged 81 years, 7 months and 27 days. She came to this state in 1853, and for the last 20 years and more has made it her home with her sons, John and A.B. Redfield of this city, though usually making a visit of two or three months each with J. S. and J. C. Redfield, two other sons who reside at Waupaca. About three months ago she went to live with J. S. at Waupaca, and was their summoned to the other side. Mrs. Redfield was the mother of 12 children eight of whom survived to mourn her loss. In the passing away this venerable lady, the Presbyterian church, of which he had been a member for upwards of 60 years, has lost one of its most worthy communicants, and all who knew her, the example of a consistent Christian life.
