He was born in 1832. His wife died in 1891. Their two sons, Wilhelm, born in 1860 at Bromberg Pommern, and Frank, born in 1868, at Bromberg, Pommern, who came with their parents to this country in 1887, have always worked on the railroad as section laborers and both are now section foremen and live at Fall Creek. --Taken from "The History of Eau Claire County, 1914, Past & Present", page 571.
