CAVE, Henry CAVE was down from Oakesdale last Monday. DIVINE, Charles DIVINE and sister, Miss Roas, of Oakesdale, were visiting friends in Colfax, Saturday. DOW, Nathaniel DOW returned Saturday from a sojourn of a week at Portland, Oregon. EVANS, U.S. EVANS went to Moscow Monday where he expects to remain for several days, transacting business. EWART, Mrs. James EWART is visiting with her son, Robert EWART, at Spokane. She will be gone for two weeks. FERGUSON, Bud FERGUSON of Oakesdale, spent Monday in Colfax. HARDING, Lyle HARDING, telegraph operator at the O.R. & N. depot, Pullman spent Saturday and Sunday at Colfax visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.D. HARDING. HARVEY, Mr. and Mrs. HARVEY, attorneys at Pullman, were transacting legal business in the county seat this week. HENDERSON, Miss Albert HENDERSON has resigned her position at T.K. McClelland's general merchandise store. INMAN, Grand Master W. A. INMAN, and wife are attending the grand lodge meeting of the Ancient Order of Workmen at Seattle. LIDDLE, Mrs. Henry LIDDLE is visiting friends in Palouse. MOORE, C.H. MOORE and wife departed Tuesday for Spokane, on a combined pleasure and business trip. OVERBY, Miss Minnie OVERBY returned Sunday from a visit with her parents at Garfield. PICKRELL, Attorney J.N. PICKRELL returned Saturday from an extended tour through the coast. PRETTYMAN, Perry PRETTYMAN, an Oakesdale citizen was transacting business in the city Monday. ROUTHE, A.C. ROUTHE and wife, of Pullman, have been visiting relatives and friends in Colfax this week. RUPPART, J. R. RUPPART returned Wednesday from a visit to New York. SMITH, J.M. SMITH went to Spokane last Monday on business. SNIDER, J.M.P. SNIDER arrived in Colfax Tuesday. He has spent the most of the winter near Salem, Oregon, and returns to look after farming interests in the Palouse Country. SPALDING, Mrs. H.H. SPALDING, and sone Horace, were up from Almota last Monday. SPARKS, O.M. SPARKS of Tekoa was transacting business in Colfax, Saturday. TAYLOR, Will TAYLOR has resigned his position as stenographer and typewriter for the law firm of Winfree & Coman. He is visiting friends at Pullman this week. WHITIER, G.M. WHITIER, manager of the Pacific Coast Elevator at Thornton, was in the city Saturday on important business. WILLIS, Harry WILLIS spent a portion of the week in Spokane. WINBERG, E.W. WINBERG and wife returned Wednesday morning from a three months sojourn. They spent most of the winter in Florida, and were within a day's journey of Havana when the Maine was destroyed. They also visited Wisconsin and Oregon. On returning Mr. WINBERG said: "I have seen much country since leaving here last fall, and have been in some of the most charming nooks of the tropics, but never saw another country so well suited to the enjoyment and prosperity of mankind as the Palouse country. It has its faults, but everything considered, it is the finest section of the world, and I am glad to get back." WRIGHT, Rev. W.J. WRIGHT went to Spokane Monday afternoon on ministeral business.
