Edwin Franklin White, 71, of Kelso died Feb. 28, 2006. 

He was born April 24, 1934, in Kelso to Carl James and Carrie Edna (Byers) 
White. He graduated from Kalama High School in 1952. 

Mr. White served in the Navy as a machinist mate third class during the Korean 
War. He returned home in 1961 and retired from the Reynolds Metals Co., in 1991 
after 22 years as a cast house foreman. 

He married Carol A. Newman in 1972. She survives him. Also surviving are three 
daughters, Kimberly Barker, Debra Traub and Connie Bryant; three brothers, Bob 
White, Chester White and Barry White; two sisters, Brownie Preston and Nancy 
Jacobs; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and 
nephews. 

The Kalama VFW Post No. 10435 will host a celebration of his life and potluck 
at 2 p.m. Sunday at the IOOF Hall in Kalama. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post No. 10435 High School 
College Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1028, Kalama, WA 98625.
