Donald Norton, age 63, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, passed away Friday, December 2, 
2005 in Coeur d'Alene. 

He was born October 25, 1942 in Bellingham, Washington to Richard and Jean 
Norton.Donald was a resident of Kelso for 40 years. He taught chemistry at 
Kelso High School for 31 years. He received a regional Science Teachers Award, 
was the Science Department Chairman, the Night Activities Director, the Science 
Club Advisor and negotiated contracts for the KEA. He received a Masters of 
Chemistry from Reed College in Oregon. 

Donald was an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Kelso. He enjoyed 
fishing.

Survivors include his wife Sharon, of Coeur d'Alene; his daughter and son-in-
law Holly and Jason Bruns and grandson Adam of Coeur d'Alene; his mother Jane 
Norton of Bellingham; his sister Sandy Williams and niece Becky Gill, both of 
Spokane Valley, Washington. 

Donald was preceded in death by his father.Memorial service will be held at a 
later date in Kelso.
