Frances Eva "Susie" Ashby, 82 of Castle Rock, passed away October 31, 2005 at 
an extended care facility in Longview.

She was born on August 8, 1923 in Portland, Oregon to Dick and Della Marie 
(Marks) Vaness and was a lifetime resident of Castle Rock. She graduated from 
Castle Rock High School in 1942. 

She worked as a bartender at the Rose Room in Castle Rock retiring in 1988. 

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Patsy Ashby; her 
grandchildren, Meechele and Art Beebe, Darren and Karen Ashby, Garrettt and 
Addie Ashby; her great grandchildren, Curtis, Nikolas and Samantha Beebe; 
Ashlee and Maggie Ashby and Emily and Easton Ashby. 

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at St. Paul Lutheran 
Church in Castle Rock at 1:00 p.m. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. 

Hubbard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
