TOWER TOWNSHIP CEMETERY

Legal Description: NW1/4-SE1/4, Section 10, T10N-R1W

This cemetery is the last physical evidence of the town of Tower. It was platted on a hillside
belonging to the Shafer family in the late 1800's, but was abandoned in the late 1920's because
of the long climb from the road to the grave sites. It was officially deeded to Cemetery
District #1, but the overall condition is poor.

The following list of burials was surveyed by C.A. & Grace M. Davis in August 1975, and updated
by Linda Harriss in 1982.
