Mr. Beveridge made a business trip to Portland last week. Willard Allen, of Mill Plain, was a caller on the Hill Sunday. G. Belv is having trouble with a lame back and is hardly able to get around. Floyd Swan and family were here Sunday and spent the day with the Beveridge family. Mr. Lawrence is still quite low. Everything possible is being done to relieve his suffering. Messrs. Allen and Rick attended a dance at Fruit Acres, on the river road, last Saturday evening. The Rawley man was on the hill Tuesday and Wednesday and stopped over night at the Rick home. The McConnor & Co. agent was on the Hill las week. He remained over night at the home of J.E.Rick. Mrs. J.E.Rick was quite sick last week and was confined to her bed for several days, but is able to be around again. Mr. Gufnott, who is employed on the Beveridge farm was taken sick Wednesday and is not able to work. D.W.Rick is working in his place.
