He reached Portland unnanounced, all right, but a Camas man met him near the depot and promptly wired John Cowan to the effect tat Bob would arrive in Camas with his bride, and sugesting that e reception committee to be on hand. The reception committee was formed, the necessary rice purchased, and ample evidence of the rice shower to be seen near the depot Monday morning. From Bob's point of view, the joke was on him, as he got the pelting without compensation in the shape of a wife.
