LaCamas Post August 1, 1908
A.L.Coffey of LaCamas has filed his declaration of becoming a candidate on the 
Democrat ticket for the state legislature,subject to the decision of the 
primary election.Mr.Coffey was Sheriff of this county thirty years ago,and he 
is one of the pioneers of this section.He is well qualified for the 
position,but the big republican majority in this county make his election 
improbable.The fight for this office in the republican party could make such 
sores as to bring about Mr. Coffey's election...which would be no calamity for 
this county.
