On Wednesday morning, December 18, Mrs. Lee, mother of Carl, died suddenly of heart failure at his home. It seems that the family was just getting ready for breakfast, when Mr. Lee told his little girl to go into her grandmother's room and call her to breakfast. When the little girl went into the room she found Mrs. Lee sitting in a rocking chair, dead. She had dressed and was sitting as though she had gone peacefully to sleep. Dr. Bice was hastily called, but it was known before he arrived at the home that Mrs. Lee was beyond the aid of human hand. Mrs. Lee was 87 years of age. She will be buried in Fairmont Cemetery in Spokane, where her husband, who died seven years ago, is buried. Carl Lee and family have gone to Spokane with the body where the funeral services will be held. Mrs. Lee is survived by seven children and a number of grandchildren. Her sons are: Carl Lee, of near this city; O. M. Lee of Indianapolis; F. O. Lee, who makes his home in California; and R. H. Lee, who makes his home in Wilson Creek, this state. The daughters are: Mrs. D. A. Darling, and Mrs. Smith Lee, both of Spokane, and Miss J. B. Lee of San Francisco. A number of the members of the Knights of Pythias lodge were at the Northern Pacific depot today to see the bereaved family leave with the body of Mrs. Lee for Spokane. The Washington State Journal and Ritzville Times, Thursday, December 26, 1912, issue Fred Bickford News arrived in this city yesterday of the death of little Fred, the four year old son of E. F.
