All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.org/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.org/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ SUSIE HARCUM PARKER Mrs. Susie Harcum Parker, 65, widow of Jesse Linwood Parker of Norfolk and daughter of the late William T. and Addie Vaughan Harcum of Southampton County, died in a Norfolk Hospital on Friday morning, August 8, 1952, at 10:50 o’clock. A native of this county, Mrs. Parker had resided in Norfolk for the past 31 years. She was a member of the First Baptist church in that city. Surviving her are a daughter, Miss Jessie E. Parker of Norfolk; a sister Mrs. R.L. Boone of Portsmouth; and six brothers, Elmo Harcum of Windsor, H.O. Harcum of Virginia Beach, Rev. Fred Harcum of Lebanon, Russell County, and W.E., J.B. and Otto Harcum, all of Franklin. Funeral services for Mrs. Parker were conducted at the Sycamore Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the pastor, Rev. L.M. Kanipe, assisted by Rev. Beverly Felty, pastor of the Chesterfield Heights Methodist Church, Norfolk. Interment was in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were brothers of the deceased; Elmo Harcum, Rev. Fred Harcum, H. Otis Harcum, J.B. Harcum, Otto Harcum, and W.E. Harcum. [Susie (HARCUM; Mrs. Jesse L.)
