Virginia Deaths 9 June 1949 
Mrs. Lelia Anne Presson (dob: 4/1/1869)

Dendron June Mrs. Lelia Anne Presson 80, died in a Richmond hospital this 
morning. 

She is survived by four daughters Mrs. R. A. Kearney, of Phoehus: Mrs. George 
C. Ballentine, of Richmond; Mrs. A. N. Jordan, of Dendron, and Mrs E. A. Leake, 
of Richmond two sons, J. R. Presson of Richmond and L. S. Presson of Newark, 
N. J.; two brothers, Samuel Tilden Whitfield of Virginia Beach, and Junius 
Elisha Whitfield of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs.  A. J. Hancock, of Sedley and 
Mrs W. T. Johnson of Ivor, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

The body will be taken from the home to the Dendron Baptist Church at 1 p. m. 
Friday and will lie in state until 2:30 p, m., the hour of the funeral. Dr. 
J. E. White will officiate. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery.
