McCLENNY John F. McClenny died Sunday, December 21st, at his home near Franklin. He was 73 years old, and had been in a feeble condition for the past twelve months. Mr. McClenny was a native of Southampton county, in which he spent most of his life. From early manhood he was a consistent member of Black Creek Baptist church, later removing his membership to the Franklin church. The funeral services were held from the local church Monday afternoon, December 22nd, at 3 o'clock, and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. M.A. MacLean. Mr. McClenny is survived by his wife, Mary B. McClenny, four daughters, Mrs. O.F. Daughtrey, Mrs. R.W. Daughtrey, Mrs. P.H. Whitfield of Portsmouth and Mrs. N.T. Bryan of Elwood; and three sons, Messrs. J.D., J.P. and M.G. McClenny of Franklin. The burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, and the pallbearers were Messrs. I.E. Howell, D.A. Holland, M.H. Moore, R. Whitfield, E. Frank Story and J. Chesley Beale. [John F.
