MARTHA COOK JOYNER Mrs. Martha Cook Joyner, 69, a well-known resident of the Ivor community, died early Wednesday morning, June 6, after a brief illness. A member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, in which she served many years, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Johnson Cook of Southampton County. Surviving are her husband, W.T. Joyner, Sr., of Ivor; five daughter, Mrs. Lillie Felts and Mrs. Estelle Bailey of Wakefield, Mrs. Lillian Kitchen of Zuni, Mrs. Isabelle Warner of Hopewell, and Mrs. Martha Holt of Ivor; three sons, W. Floyd Joyner and Thomas L. Joyner of Ivor and William T. Joyner, Jr., of Wakefield; and 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Joyner were conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church by Revs. L.E. Holzbach and Scott Hutton. Burial was in the church cemetery. The casket was covered with a pall of red roses, white carnations and baby's breath. The pallbearers were David Atkinson, Joe Billups, William Billlups, Luther Cook, Robert Crumpler, Woodrow Johnson, Roscoe Luter and G.C.Powell. [Martha F. (COOK; Mrs. Wm.T.
