JOYNER Mrs. Dana C. Joyner, 54, of Franklin died in Raiford Memorial Hospital on Tuesday night, September 25, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Jody and Anna Bradshaw Cutchin of Southampton County, and was a member of the Black Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Charlie J. Joyner of Franklin; one son, James C. Joyner of Franklin; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Caroon of Franklin and Mrs. Mary Harcum of Portsmouth; three brothers, Joe Cutchin, Harvey Cutchin and Clyde Cutchin, all of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the Franklin Baptist Church on Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock with Revs. Ira Hudgins, R.D. Stephenson and Melvin Dollar officiating. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the pallbearers being Luther Barden, Sam Kello, Eugene Nancy, Oscar Porter, Edwards Sykes, and Jack Umphlette. [Dana (CUTCHIN; Mrs. Charlie J.)
