MARY ANN GRAY Mrs. Mary Ann Bryant Gray, 76, well-known resident of the Bethlehem community, Nansemond county, and formerly of Southampton County, died early Sunday, August 18, at the home of her son, Willie Wallace Gray, after a long illness. She was the widow of K.W. Gray and the daughter of the late John and Mrs. Mollie Sumner Gray [sic*] of Southampton County. Surviving are four sons, Willie Wallace Gray, Ralph Hilton Gray and George H. Gray, all of Suffolk, and Walter B. Gray of Eastville; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Lois Johnson of Suffolk and Mrs. Eunice Ann Luck of Beaver Dam; one brother, Jack Bryant of Franklin; 14 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethleham Christian Church. Burial was in Nottoway Chapel Cemetery, near Franklin. Active pallbearers were Lee Byrum, Harvey Lowe, Jack Duncan, William Wilkins, Dewey Boney, T.C.
