SAMUEL DRAKE

  Sam Drake of Boykins community died at the age of 63 last Sunday night, April 
30, after a brief illness.  Funeral services were held at the home, Rev. J.P. 
Essex assisted by Rev. C.H. Kidd officiating. The interment took place in the 
Newsoms cemetery, with a large crowd of friends and relatives present. He is 
survived by a wife, Mrs. Caroline Drake, three sons, Luther, Abner and Herbert 
Drake and one daughter, Mrs. Lennie Drake, all of Boykins community.
