Dickens, 80, a well-known resident of the Capron community, died at her home on Sunday afternoon, February 18, after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Joseph Reid Dickens, and the daughter of the late William R. and Elizabeth Pope Bryant of this county. She was a member of the Whitehead Methodist Church, in which she had served faithfully from childhood. Surviving her are two daughters, Misses Bessie and Helen Dickens, of Capron; one son, Julian J. Dickens of Williamsburg; and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held from the home on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. L.O. Wright officiating. Burial was in the Capron Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Harwood Babb, Carroll Barnes, Felix Bryant, Walter Futrell, Frank Marks, Hudson Pope, George Prince and Thomas Vaughan. [Ellen E.
