All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.org/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.org/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ KATHRYN THOMPSON CHAPPELL Mrs. Kathryn Thompson Chappell of Hamlet, N.C., died last Tuesday in her 18th year in a hospital in that town. She was the daughter of John Thompson and Mrs. Maggie Ricks Thompson of Drewryville and lived in this county until her marriage about two years ago. She had been living in Hamlet only about three months and was buried in Drewryville cemetery last Thursday afternoon, Rev. W.O. Andrews conducting the services. She is survived by her husband and little daughter, Mildred, her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson, three sisters, Mrs. Crawford Wade of Sebrell, Mrs. Pat D. Cotton of Franklin, Miss Grace Thompson, who has been in training for a nurse in Sarah Leigh Hospital , Norfolk, and four brothers, Wray, of Portsmouth, Leslie of Hamlet, N.C. and John Drewry and Louise Thompson of Drewryville. The flowers were numerous and beautiful.
