Cobb. Though the deceased had been a resident of Franklin for only a few years, she had by her personal charm and admirable qualities won a host of friends who deplore her untimely demise following a brief illness. Mrs. Cobb was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Hutchins, of Hampton Place, Portsmouth, and at the time of her death was twenty seven years of age. With Mr. Cobb she came to Franklin in 1919, after residing a number of years in Holland, where her husband had been established in business. She was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church, having transferred her connections from the church at Holland, and she was a loyal participant in all its activities, manifesting an exemplary interest in all worthy undertakings. The funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the residence in South High Street, Rev. M.A. MacLean officiating, assisted by Rev. J.A. Chapman of the Methodist Church. Interment followed in the family plot in Poplar Spring cemetery, where beautiful floral tributes were heaped upon the grave by sorrow stricken friends. The following were pallbearers; Joe Byrum Gay, E. Frank Story, W.H. Lankford, Elliott L. Story, W.H. Norfleet, George R. Hayes, George H. Parker and Earnest G. Evans. The deceased is survived by her husband, a little son, Herbert, Jr., and an infant daughter; also by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Hutchins, Jr., and R. Barrett Hutchins; and a sister Mrs. Daisy Lee Dodge, who is with her husband at his station in Honolulu.
