ALEXANDER MANLY BURGESS

DEATH OF MANLY BURGESS

Alexander Manly, the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Burgess of Capron, 
died Thursday morning, January 17, after a brief illness from croup.  Manly 
would have been two years old January 31 and had reached the era of lisping 
and learning to talk, which appeals to the tenderest and deepest of our 
affections.  He was the sunshine, the rosebud, the cheer of the home.  The 
shadow came over the home unexpectedly.  God took him.  "of such in the 
kingdom of heaven".  His body was tenderly and lovingly laid to rest in Capron 
cemetery Friday afternoon, in the presence of many sympathizing friends and 
neighbors.  The bereaved family has the deepest sympathy of their neighbors and 
God is with them. 

"Who plucked that flower?" cried the gardener, as he walked through the garden, 
His fellow servant answered, "The Master"  And the gardener held his peace."
