All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.org/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.org/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JAMES THOMAS BLOW James Thomas Blow died at 8:55 o’clock Monday morning, April 4, 1921, at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clara Porter Blow, 125 Hill Avenue, Portsmouth, aged 72 years. Mr. Blow formerly resided in this community but moved to Portsmouth three years ago to make his home in that city. He is survived by the following sons; George T. Blow of Edenton, N.C., Lewis W. and James R. Blow of Elizabeth city, N.C., and Willie N. and Walter H. Blow of Portsmouth. The body was forwarded Tuesday morning over the Seaboard Air Line Railway to Handsom and the burial took place at 12 o’clock at his old home here. The burial services were conducted at the grave by Rev. C.H. Kidd. The pallbearers were E.R. Story, Thomas Miles, A.P. Porter, B.A. Porter, J.R. Gilliam, Herman Porter. There were many beautiful floral designs.
