She was a native of Ashe County, N.C., and lived in Green Cove before moving to Damascus where she lived most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Minnie Rhoten Lewis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Damascus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor J. Richardson; one daughter, Cathy Ann Richardson; two sons, Patrick F. Richardson and Ricky Richardson; six brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jo Warden of Abingdon and Mary E. Hockett of Marion; three sons, Paul J. Richardson of Johnson City, Tenn., Reggie A. Richardson of Bent Mountain and Ralph C. Richardson of Knoxville, Tenn.; 32 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service was conducted Saturday evening, Dec. 4, 2004, at the Garrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Harlan Greer officiating. The committal service and interment was conducted on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 5, 2004, at Green Cove Cemetery.
