Cline MARION, Va. -- Alberta Hutton Cline, age 91, an angel placed on this earth, departed all those who knew and loved her on Wednesday, June 4, 2003. Alberta was of the Baptist faith. She was a remarkable lady who had an inner reverent radiance and had love and kindness to offer to all who knew her. Her enormous faith in God affected everyone in her life. She was loved and appreciated by all. The reality is that our loved one is gone from the suffering that she endured in this world. Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and our friend will never be forgotten. She had a deep and enormous love for all of her family. Her home was a place that was often visited and enjoyed by her family and friends and was a place of comfort to everyone. Alberta's nickname to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was "Granny Gone." In our hearts, our granny will never be gone -- See you in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, George F. and Mary Ella Lowe Hutton; her husband, James Dallas Cline; a son, Roger Lee Cline; a grandson, Johnnie Cline; a granddaughter, Lori Ann Vandergriff; a great-granddaughter, Lisa Rene Evans; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Cline; four sisters; and two brothers. Left to cherish Alberta's precious memory are one daughter and son-in-law, Mae and Paul Vandergriff of Atkins, Va.; three sons and three daughters-in-law: James "Junior" Cline and special friend, Nellie Smith of Marion; Bobby and Patty Cline of Marion; Gene and Magdalene Cline of Chilhowie and Charlotte Cline of Marion. 18 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 42 great- grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive, including a special niece, Willie Jean Hall. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6, 2003, at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Eddie Beck officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday at ll a.m. in Round Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is serving the Cline Family.
