Sheriff ordered to summon 24 freeholders to appear at the May court to serve as a Grand Jury of Inquest. Col. Crockett, James Robinson and William Walton ordered to proceed with the persons appointed by the court of Montgomery to view the road from Wm. Robinson's to Pepper's Ferry. John Fielding exempted from payment of Parish and County levies in future on account of his infirmity. Ordered that the Sheriff pay to David McClenachan his poll tax for the years 1783 & 84. Isaac Dawson appointed Constable in the Town of Fincastle. Milly Johnston, orphan of Hannah Johnston, bound to Samuel Davis. Charles Laird, orphan, bound to Joseph Reaburne, Jr. April 13, 1785. Robert Harvey allowed 44 shillings for 11 bushels of wheat for State use.
