She was born June 27, 1918, a daughter of Thomas Lorenzo and Amy Laura Stott Allred in Talmage, Duchesne County, Utah. She married Elwood "J" Bud Johnson on July 8, 1940, in the Manti LDS Temple. Beth served an LDS mission with Elwood to the Arkansas, Little Rock Mission. She and Elwood made the trip of a lifetime to the Holy Land for which they shared many beautiful stories. She served for 16 years as a Name Extractor for which she loved. In her earlier years she and Bud served on the "Old Folks Committee," they loved serving the older folk in the area and shared many precious memories of all their accomplishments. Survivors include her husband, Elwood "J" (Bud) Johnson, her children: Janet C. (Larry) Jackson of Orem; Dale K. (Marsha) Johnson of Provo; Dorothy Johnson of Orem; daughter-in-law Connie Johnson, her grandchildren: Ronald Sean Jackson; Thomas Allred Johnson; Chrissy Boyack; Jennifer Johnson; Natalie Egbert; Erin Jolley; Melanie, James, and Daniel Johnson and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Hope Poplin. She was preceded in death by her sons Gerald A. Johnson and Richard E. Johnson, a granddaughter Camille Jackson, and two sisters Dorothy Lindblom and Lucille Hale. Special thanks to the staff at Vista Care Hospice and to the staff at Berkshire Rehab in Orem. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 7, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. in the Cherry Hill 3rd Ward Chapel, 1650 South 200 East in Orem. Friends and family may call Friday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the ward chapel. Interment will be in the Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo. Monson, Beverly Beverly Isabelle West Swensen Monson, 80, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully into the eternities surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 5, 2005. Beverly's earthly sojourn was completed after a valiant struggle with lupus in recent years. She was born January 17, 1924 in Salt Lake City to David Arnold and Isabelle Groo Woolley West. She married Boyd Walker Swensen on July 21, 1944 in the Manti LDS Temple. Boyd passed away in 1945. She married Robert T Monson on August 20, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. At an early age Bev moved to Pleasant Grove where she was raised by her aunt and uncle, A. P. and Geneva Warnick. She graduated Valedictorian from Pleasant Grove High School in 1942 and attended LDS Business College. Her hobbies included riding horses, camping, cooking and football. Bev's life was devoted to her husband and six children. She served faithfully in all auxiliaries of the LDS Church and together with Bob served in the England Coventry Mission. Throughout her life, she was valiant in her testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband Bob; six children: Dennis (Vivian) Swensen, American Fork; Geri (Rodger) Taylor, Pleasant Grove; Brant (Robin) Monson, Provo; Patricia (Arch) Egbert, Salt Lake; Tom (Sumiko) Monson, St. George; and Casey Monson, Provo; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include siblings: Betty West, Wanda Badger, Eloise Ellis, David West and Helen Driggs. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Eric and Shane. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Old Manila Chapel, 900 West 2600 North, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services. Naylor, Margaret Louise Davis Margaret Louise Davis Naylor, 91, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2004, at the Life Care Center of Farmington. She was born December 30, 1913, in Edina, Missouri to William and Nancy Davis. She married George Edward Naylor on May 20, 1934, in Butte, Montana. Mrs. Naylor moved to Dillon, Montana at a young age. While in high school, Margaret worked in an abstract and real estate office. She met her husband after she graduated and they lived in Dillon as well as Bannack, Montana. In 1942 they moved to Provo, Utah with their 7 year old daughter, Donna. While in Provo, Margaret and Ed were blessed with another daughter, Linda. Margaret held many different jobs in her early years of marriage but the one she valued most was raising their daughters. Margaret volunteered at Valley Hospital Regional Medical Center as a pink lady where she received recognition for the many hours she spent helping others. She also volunteered with the Red Cross. She and her husband were part of the penochle club as well as members of the Timpanogos Gem and Mineral Society. She was a member of the Provo Community United Church of Christ and actively participated in the Eastern Star Chapter in Provo. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Her rose garden was loved by all. Margaret also kept a personal journal for over forty years. Mrs. Naylor is survived by three sisters; her two daughters, Donna Brimhall and husband, Max, of Farmington, NM; Linda Hatch and her husband, Robert, of Spanish Fork, Utah; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 8, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at the Provo City Cemetery.
