All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ****************************************************** Fort Worth Morning Register October 7, 1899 Elkin Lightfoot died yesterday at the residence of his son, Charles L. Lightfoot, 608 South Main street. His age was 86 years and four months, and the cause of death was general debility due to age. Mr. Lightfoot was born and reared in Faimouth, KY, where he still had a daughter, Mrs. Johnson. Captain William Lightfoot of Thurber is also a son. The latter came to Fort Worth 15 years ago and served the city in an official capacity. Mrs. Lightfoot, 78, survives her husband; there ahs been only one death in the family prior to this date. Mr. Lightfoot came to Fort Worth about five years ago and has since made his home here with his son. Funeral held at the residence. Services conducted by Rev. C. McPherson, pastor of the Third Christian church.
