HALE CENTER (Special) - Services for Theodosia Gibbs, 91, of Hale Center, will 
be 2 p.m. today in Hale Canter First Baptist Church with the Rev Carrol Green, 
pastor of the church, officiating. Assisting will be the Rev J.P. Jones, 
retired Baptist minister. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery under 
direction of Freeman Funeral Home here. Mrs. Gibbs died Monday here following 
a lengthy illness. Mrs. Gibbs was born in Breckenridge. She married Swan Crow 
Gibbs on July 2, 1902 in Tulia. He preceded her in death in 1971. Mrs. Gibbs 
moved to Hale Center in 1942 from Lamesa. She was a member of Hillcrest 
Baptist Church in Lamesa. Survivors include four sons, Calvin of Anson, John 
of Los Lunas, N.M., Elmer of Hale Center and Taylor of Goodland; a daughter, 
Mrs, Bertha Ruggles of Hale Center; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren 
and four great-great-grandchildren.
