Wilson Chapel (Teague)


Wilson Chapel was located about a half mile southwest of Teague, next to 
Grayson Chapel.  About a quarter mile to the east was Brewer Church, site of the
old Brewer community prior to the development of Teague.  The area is drained 
by Holman Creek.

Wilson Chapel (Donie)

Wilson Chapel was located about three miles southwest of Donie in the southwest
corner of Freestone County.  At Wilson Chapel a church was organized by 1887, 
and the school had an enrollment of thirty-eight in 1899.  Students of the area 
were moved to Donie after the local school closed.  In the 1930s and through 
the 1960s the community had a church, a cemetery, and scattered dwellings. By 
the late 1980s, the church and cemetery still remained at the site.
