Freestone County, Texas Obits The Fairfield Recorder newspaper Thursday, September 7, 2006 Judi (Bell) Burnett Funeral services were held Saturday in Corsicana for Judi (Nana) Burnett, who died at her home Tuesday, August 29 after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Burnett was the owner of Missy’s Little People Shoppe in Corsicana. She was born January 4, 1945 in Houston to W.J. and Catherine Bell of Houston. Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel, with B.F. Risinger officiating. Burial was at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Johnny Burnett; a son and daughter- in-law Jack and Barbara Burnett of Goodyear, Arizona; a daughter and son-in-law Michell and Brian Tibbits, also of Goodyear; A sister and brother-in-law David and Janet Pelc of Pearland; sisters-in-law Evelyn Reeves and Inez Burnett of Fairfield; Grandchildren Kati Tibbits of Corsicana and Ryan, Nathan and Rachel Burnett of Goodyear; and numerous other family members and friends. She considered her Sunday school class friends to be sisters in Christ and wanted them listed as such: Marianne Anderson, Barbara Batson, Theda Brashear, Irene Davenport, Nelda Davis, Linda Fannin, Louise Ford, Lillian Goodnight, Nedra Hooser; June Ingham, Nell Laswell, Melba Lennon, Jan Risinger, Kathie Mitcham, Mary McCarley, Judy Niemann, Mary S. Smith, Freddie Summers and Yvonne Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents Ira and Lucy Rushing and James and Maggie Bell; and a granddaughter, Taylor Marie Tibbits.
