"Died- Mr. Andrew Bonner of Steward's Mill after an attack of flux for two weeks died last 7th. He was about 28 years old, a steady, sober and industrious young man and a worthy citizen of our county. He has many relatives and friends who will be sorry to hear of his death. The parents have the sympathy of their many friends in the loss of their son." Fairfield Recorder newspaper - Nov 15, 1889. Steward's Mill Sounds "Death on the 10th again visited our neighborhood Mr. Andrew Bonner being its victim. He leaves many relatives and friends to mourn his untimely death. Deeply and sincerely we sympathize with Mr. And Mrs. Bonner in their double affliction, they having buried their little baby only a few days ago. The death of our young friend has indeed cast gloom and sadness over the hearts of our entire community, he being the first missing link among a large circle of relatives and friends who have known and loved each other since childhood. Since our friend has gone from our mists but in pleasant memories of past he will ever be remembered and whilst we grieve for his absence our consolation be: "There is a scene where spirits blend Where friend holds intercourse with friend; Though sundered far, thy face we meet Around one common must we seat"
