  General Braxton Bragg leaves but one survivng brother. Captain Dunbar Bragg, 
who, for over twenty years, has been a resident of Freestone county, Texas.  It 
is our pleasure to have known him years ago, and to bear testimony to his great
worth as a private citizen.

  The engineer corps have completed the survey of the Waco, Fairfield and 
Palestine Railroad.  The length of the line is ninety miles.  A number of the 
citizens of Waco have subscribed to the stock of the road.
