Hill Cemetery #1 (East of Fairfield Lake)

Status: Abandoned around 1913.

Situated on private property east of Fairfield Lake.

Directions #1: At the Fairfield City Limit Sign on East Hwy 84 go 4.9 miles to
Co Road 1364. Make a left. From the 79/84 Junction take Hwy 84 about 15 miles
and go to County Road 1364. Make a right. Go 1 mile and take Co. Road 240 for
3.3 miles and the veer to the left on FCR 235 and go 2.8 miles. The cemetery is
on the left in a pasture. The cemetery is in an old fence and you really have
to look for it. You can only see the tops of two head stones from the road.

Directions #2: On west side of county road connecting FM 1364 and FM 2750,
about 100 yards off the road and Myrtal Branch.

Layout: Long axis aligned about N1 degree W.  Covers an area of about 9,628
feet or 0.22 acre.  Enclosed by an old style metal graveyard fence with metal
posts.

Number of Graves:  There are 22 marked graves (according to H of FC, Vol I, pg.
196, published 1978).  In H of FC Vol II (published 1989), only 13 listed.
