Watson, aged 71 years, and a resident of Ennis for the past 28 years died at his home, 400 W. Avenue at 7 o'clock Friday evening after an illness of more than two years, he having been confined to his bed since July 17, 1917. C.O. Watson was born Feb 10, 1848 in Copiah Co., Miss. He moved to Ennis in 1891 and had resided here since that time, being a bookkeeper for P. Freeman, Jolesch's and Matthews stores at various times. He was a careful and conscientious worker and a good and kind hearted man. He is survived by his faithful companion of many years, whose devotion to him was shown by many months of patient and loving care and tender nursing. Deceased was a member of the Bible Students Association and Mr. L.J. Barfoot of Dallas, an adherent of that faith conducted the funeral service in Myrtle Cemetery at 10 o'clock Sat.
