Smith, who with his family left Ennis about a year ago to make their home in Electra, was killed about 35 miles from Electra Friday when the wagon and team he was driving turned over an embankment. He with several others had hauled some derrick supplies which had been delivered and when killed, the men were on their return trip to Electra, Mr. Smith being in the lead. The remains reached Ennis Sunday night and were carried to Keever's undertaking parlors from where the body was taken to the Grady cemetery near Bardwell for interment at 9 o'clock that morning. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 14 years, who with W.H. Vaught, employer of Mr. Smith, accompanied the body to Ennis. The team to the wagon which was overturned escaped with a few bruises.
