The Dallas Morning News, Dallas, TX March 3, 1897
Residence Damaged.
Waxahachie, Ellis Co., Tex., May 1.-Fire broke out in the dining-room and 
kitchen of W. H. Grizzard last night.  The fire department succeeded in 
controlling the flames.  Mr. Grizzard carried a policy of $500 on his 
household goods.  The house belonged to Col. R. A. Davis and was insured for 
$450.
